another view

On the same subject as my previous post, I borrow from another conversation:
Quoting from the pope's Introduction to Christianity, a correspondent better read than I offered "Again it was a question of stating which God the Christian faith really had in mind. This choice... has to be made afresh in every spiritual situation and thus always remains just as much a task as a gift."

This is the problem all too often when members of different faith traditions try to talk about God. I don't care if they are as different as Muslims are to Buddhists, or as different as Southern Presbyterians are to their Northern cousins, they have a tendency to talk past each other without reaching any agreement on the language they employ -- let alone the world view they represent.
